Mama's Favorite Things

All these rainy days have me really appreciating a few of my favorite baby things. I thought I'd share in case they can help you. They definitely make my days brighter!

MotherLove Nipple Cream -- This 100% organic product can be used for sore nipples as well as lip balm for you and baby. I've even used this on Tabitha's cheeks when they got chapped in the winter. It goes on smoother than lanolin products, is organic (a huge plus since baby is ingesting it), and helps fight yeast & bacteria.

Nourish Baby Organics -- I am in love! Tabitha has really sensitive skin so we try to use natural products to keep her skin from being irritated. Their Organic Lavender Oil not only keeps her skin soft and hydrated it also smells heavenly. (I add a capful to her bath and to mine!) I also have their Organic Coconut Wash which is basically summer in a bottle. We haven't tried it yet, but I have no doubt that it will make her smell and feel yummilicous!

Silicone Kitchen Utensils -- We're not big into toys around our house. Instead, we like practical objects. Tabitha has been playing with these kid-sized kitchen utensils for several months now. They make great teething objects, are dishwasher safe (yeah!), and can be used later on for helping in the kitchen. Her favorites are Piggy Spatula by Jo!e and Pastry Brush by Curious Chef-- which makes a whole range of kid friendly kitchen utensils.

Aden + Anais Blanket -- I was given two of these as gifts shortly after Tabitha's birth and they have come in handy so, so, so many times! Made from 100% cotton muslin, we use them as comfort blankets (great for cold or warm weather), nursing covers, swaddling blankets, giant burp cloths, and for peek-a-boo. I can easily envision capes and tents being made out of them in the future. These are so wonderful that I've actually stashed two more for when Baby #2 comes… way, way, way down the road!

The rain is pounding the house and baby girl is fast asleep. David is off being a disciple in our church's Easter Musical. So while the house is quiet, I think I'll go take a bath sprinkled with lavender oil!

*Note: I wrote this last night, but due to the storm couldn't post it until today!
