Homeschooling Baby-- Now and Later

Calling all Mamas, past, present, and future! Last week, I stumbled upon a lovely website that is just getting started. I believe it was quite providential. David and I plan to home school Tabitha for at least the early elementary years. My parents home schooled me from 4th grade through 8th grade and those years hold some of my happiest memories. Since this is something we intend to do, I've been keeping my eyes open for opportunities, activities, and helps for down the road. Many times I find a gem of an idea and long for Tabitha to be a bit older so we can do it. Well...

My little list maker.

TheHomeschoolBaby.com made me realize that I don't have to wait until Tabitha is old enough! I can start now by growing my knowledge and my relationship with her so that when a more formal educational process is introduced there is a foundation on which to build. Laura, the author of the blog, is a mom with children ranging from six to a newborn. I'm really excited to see what kind of ideas she and others in this new community offer as they focus on the early years (ages 0-5).

Stop on by and check out this awesome site. Plus, Laura is kicking off her new venture with a week long Baby Shower full of great giveaways! Then, check back often to see all the great tips Laura has planned. You won't leave empty handed. I promise.

P.S. This picture was taken the other day in the midst of a house-wide pick-up. As I bustled from room to room, Tabitha followed behind me like a little inspector "checking" off her list of to dos.
