These have been my sentiments exactly during this phase of our lives. Obviously we are not that old yet, but we are leaving the typical open-ended, unfettered phase of life. I always said I couldn't wait to be old, to be more wise and together than I used to be, and I am enjoying the aging process, though it's not quite nirvana yet. :) This kind of dreaming does tempt me to dream without any limits, though, and begs the question what limitations should we allow to curtail some dreams, and which ones should we throw to the wind? Is too much dreaming escapism? Or has God put some of these dreams on my heart so that I will leave convention behind and follow Him? Specifically, most of these dreams for us now look like selling all we own to become farmers and/or church planting missionaries in PA or abroad, or perhaps just changing to a rural lifestyle as only part-time homesteaders... I'd love to hear more about some of your dreams if you want to share them. :)
