Our annual trek to the shore has begun. We're soaking in the salt air, eating ridiculous amounts of food, playing hard, and relishing in time with each other. Of course a beach trip wouldn't be complete without a few good reads. Aside from my dear family, my companions will include:
- Flower Hunters by Mary and John Gribbin. It's a great follow-up to The Paper Garden: An Artist Begins Her Life's Work at 72 by Molly Peacock.
- Elegy for Eddie by Jacqueline Winspear. I was so reluctant to read this last Maisie Dobbs book, but since a 10th book was published in March, I'm eager to revisit this lovely character.
- Rest: Living in Sabbath Simplicity by Keri Wyatt Kent. A little personal exploration into keeping the Sabbath.
What beach or summer reads are topping your lists?
